    These sunglasses are like no other. Very high quality. As a person that regularly breaks sunglasses, the warranty offering is perfect! Even the attention to detail in the packaging impressed me. You cannot go wrong!

    Love the feel, weight, and overall quality of these glasses. Check out their fitting & adjustment page if the glasses' fit needs to be modified at all - I played with the ear flaps a bit to get them to sit on my face just right.

    I have always typically purchased this style of glass and considered myself to be fairly brand loyal to either Luxotticas (Ray Bans) or VonZippers. After trying the JS Bannisters out I don’t think I’ll ever go back. The polarized lenses are great quality, crystal clear and the weight of the glass just feels fantastic (they don’t feel cheap at all). And best of all - the companies warranty program. I’m fairly active and misplace/damage glasses often. The peace of mind of being able to get another pair free is worth the price point to me 100%.

Design Details

  • Inspiration

    The JS Bannister was inspired by Sir Roger Bannister, who is most known for his athletic accomplishments as a mid-distance runner and for being the first person to break the 4-minute mile barrier. His unconventional and relatively light training regiment made him an unlikely success in the sport, which he set many records. In addition to his athletic achievements, Bannister practiced medicine as a neurologist and made various contributions to the field throughout his lengthy career.

  • Design

    An Italian acetate matte finish and gunmetal accents define the JS Bannister Black to form a subtle edginess while remaining highly versatile to fit seamlessly with an array of styles. Polarized gray lenses keep the frame consistent and complete the composed look of a traditional black frame.

  • Frame

    The frames are crafted from a high-grade Italian cellulose acetate, and each frame is individually hand-polished and assembled. German-engineered 5-barrel hinges and screws are used to retain smooth movement for years to come, and a wire core extends from hinges to support temple shape.

  • Lenses

    Our lenses are made from an impact resistant CR-39 that provides incredible durability and exceptional visual clarity. Polarized lenses come standard, and all lenses include optimal protection by blocking 100% of UVA and UVB rays. Lenses also have an anti-scratch hard coating to reduce damage and an anti-reflection coating to reduce glare.
